include the additional strip, coloured green, which will be
reserved for a future public road. The Rear-Admiral has in-
formed me that such an arrangement will satisfy the require-
ments of the Admiralty, to whom permission would be granted to
lay their pipe-line under the road.
3.
In these circumstances, I recommend that the
area now applied for be granted to the Electric Company, without
recourse to public auction, subject to the terms on which
Marine Lot 321 was disposed of at public auction and with the
following special conditions added, viz:-
(a)
The Company to reclaim the areas shown coloured
red and green on the enclosed plan to such levels as the Director of Public Works may approve and to construct for the protection of such reclaimed areas, between the points B & F on plan, a sea-wall and, between the points E & F, a rubble mound faced with
a pitched slope, set in cement mortar and bedded in
cement concrete. The whole of such works to be executed in accordance with plans approved by the
Director of Public Works and to the satisfaction of that officer and to be completed within 2 years of
the date of a letter from the Director of Public
Works stating that the areas are at the disposal of the Company.
The area coloured green on plan to be handed over to Goverment free of cost on completion.

Any rights as regards marine frontage to extend only to that boundary of the lot between the points mark-
ed B & G on plan, measuring 100 feet.

Premium at the rate of 30 cents per square foot, viz. 815,000, to be paid into the Colonial Treasury
within 7 days of the date of the letter mentioned
in (a).
